Donations

The Trust is supporting the following projects through public subscription (donations) to its specific funds:'

The completion of the track and signaling of the double track between Loughborough and Rothley including signal boxes and sidings at Quorn and Swithland. Most of this work is now complete although significant works remain to be done at Swithland.
Supported through our 'Double track fund'

Repairs, renovation of items of rolling stock, the provision of machine and hand tools and the sponsorship of other projects is done via our 'General fund'.

Your donation to any of the above funds would be welcome and would help us achieve our goal of re-creating the experience of British main line railway operation at the Great Central Railway.

The generous donations of our members and supporters have provided machine tools for the locomotive and carriage sheds, the re-modelling of the tracks at Loughborough Central, part funding for the double track, land purchase at Ruddington, sponsorship and restoration of locomotives and many other projects too numerous to mention.

GCR 04 class locomotive 63601 restored thanks to generous donations.

As the Trust is now being wound down, donations may be made to the railway's support body The David Clarke Railway Trust instead.
